The telephone operator will ask you which emergency service you need: Amulance, Police or Fire department, and your telephone number.  You will then be connected to the emergency service that you require.

Money
The unit of currency in the Republic of Ireland is the euro (€).  There are 100 cents in a euro and notes are issued in the following denominations: €5, €10, €20, €50, €100, €200 and €500.

Banks
(open 10am to 4pm Monday to Friday) offer a bureau de change service.  Most of the larger hotels will exchange travellers' cheques and the main currencies for you, though remember to always check the exchange rate.
