After celebrating its 60th anniversary last year, the Drogheda St. Patrick's Weekend festival is back and continues to grow.


St. Patrick’s festivities kick off on Friday, 14th March with a carnival and market throughout the day at Scotch hall plaza, followed by a fireworks display at the riverfront at 8pm.


On Saturday 15th March there will be a sensory hour starting at 12 noon at Scotch Hall plaza (Tickets available online). Followed by a Special Taylor Swift tribute act, plus a market and carnival all day at Scotch Hall Plaza. Local musicians Dabilla will unveil their ground breaking album - The Hound of Boann at 8pm in Mchugh’s Barrell venue.


On Sunday 16th March the carnival and market will take place at Scotch Hall plaza all day.


The St. Patrick’s Day parade 2025 starts at 12 noon on Monday 17th March. The parade showcases everything that makes Drogheda special and this years theme is Drogheda 2025 – The Parade of Champions, which will celebrate the town’s achievements in sport, culture and history. FAI Cup winners, Drogheda United will serve as this year’s Grand Marshalls.


There will be music on stage at St Peter’s Church Plaza after the parade, a Leprechaun hunt, face painting and Irish dancing in Scotch Hall shopping centre, plus the carnival and market on the plaza, and live entertainment around the Pubs.
